My daughter has a milk soy protein intolerance, so I have eliminated them from my diet; however, I believe it has caused my body to go into starvation mode and retain the weight. (Wow!) But losing weight while breastfeeding is rarely a given because breastfeeding makes moms hungrier. And hungry, sleep-deprived new moms tend to satisfy their cravings with simple carbohydrates — it’s not exactly easy to lose weight when you’re eating those.

May 12, · I’m 24 and breast feeding my first baby. It’s been 6 months and I feel like I’m gaining more weight than losing.
